Collection: Sabal minor

Sabal minor grows naturally in moist forests, ravines and bottomlands from North Carolina to East Texas.
This small fan palm forms a trunk that remains below ground.
Depending on age and growing conditions, the leaves can grow 1.5mtr in length.
This is a frost hardy palm till -15°C, it can sometimes get killed above ground by freezing weather, but re-sprouts the following spring.
