Perlite can be used to make the potting soil airier and lighter, so that roots develop better and plants grow better and bloom more beautifully. It can also be used as a drainage layer, which improves the water balance in the pot. This allows you to avoid giving the plant too much water. Perlite is an inorganic rock that is formed under high temperatures. It contains a lot of air and increases the air content.

Perlite ensures better drainage in the potting soil and has a pH of approximately 6.5. It has a very low bulk density which makes it ideal for mixing with potting soil for roof terraces.

Be careful when inhaling particulate matter. If necessary, moisten slightly before use so that the fine dust settles.
